Bolting bunnies and good craic

I scraped the ice off the van windows; it was parky to say the least. A voice inside me was screaming “this is what builds your character” as the dogs jumped in the back and I convinced myself the outing was worthwhile. We took a little trip into the hills of Cumbria. I felt naked — no ferrets, nets nor even a spade with me.

It has been a hectic few months and I have been looking forward to switching off completely and enjoying a proper do on the warrens with my friend Danny. A farrier by trade, Danny’s love for life is as infectious as his smile. He knows all too well the value of detaching oneself from work in order to wind down and relax, and what better way than with a brace of dogs and a fistful of ferrets.
