Onley Grounds Winter Classic, Warwickshire
A DELIGHTED Emily Seal landed the winter grand prix in a tense decider with Jaccardo Van De Huffelen.
“He’s quality and thinks highly of himself; if he was human, he’d be a top-class footballer,” said Emily, who relished the change of scenery. “I do a lot of trail hunting this time of year, so it was nice to be mud-free and wear shiny boots.”
Disappointingly, only 16 tackled the 1.40m track designed by Kevin Bull and John Bedford, with five finding the key, an on-form Angie Thompson providing two of the clears. However, clears proved elusive second time out and Emily and the 14-year-old claimed victory
