Taking hardwood cuttings

THERE is still time to take hardwood cuttings before trees and shrubs stir from dormancy and grow a coat of green.

A tree I’ve long wanted to add to our garden is a goat willow (), also known as ‘pussy willow’ due to its downy silver catkins.
