Brenda Pieper-Callan is a qualified registered nurse and midwife. She is an avid letter writer as a result of her passion for writing, and has published work-related articles. In 2015 she undertook writing courses at the Irish Writers Centre, Dublin and has remained a very motivated member of a writing group that formed there. The Purple Scarf is her first novel.
