Iqbal was joint runner-up in the Evening Standard Short Story Competition 2022. He has short stories in anthologies by Retreat West, London Libraries, Leicester Writes and Lancashire Libraries. He won Gold in the Creative Future Writers’ Awards 2019 and is a recipient of the inaugural London Writers’ Awards 2018. He lives in north London with his partner
