FELIX FRANCIS

When Dick Francis died, his photo appeared in all the newspapers. It was only then that his son, Felix, realised how famous his father was.

‘The first part of a Dick Francis novel I wrote was to design the bomb that blew up a light aircraft in Rat Race in 1970,’ Felix says. ‘After that I wrote all sorts of bits of the books, including helping with the last third of Shattered in 2000.’
