Siemens plans summer start for 2024 TS testing

TESTING of the first 2024 Tube Stock (TS) train will begin at Wildenrath, Germany this summer.

Siemens is building 94 new nine-car trains for the Piccadilly Line in a £1.5 billion contract, with the first trains due in traffic from 2025.

The new fleet, from Siemens’ Inspiro range, will feature air-conditioned walk-through coaches and will have capacity for 1076 passengers.
