Tell us about the print that started it all.

My obsession with vintage prints and paintings began with this one nude by Larry Vincent Garrison. I went to a garage sale where everything was $2 and I saw her stuck behind a Snow White poster. I couldn’t believe such a gorgeous image was only two bucks! I snapped her up and now she hangs on my wall, still with the fluoro pink $2 sticker. The Vincent nudes were a popular print in the late ’60s and ’70s. There really isn’t much information about Vincent Garrison out there – he was a painter of family portraits and switched to painting nudes in the ’60s. There are hundreds of Vincent paintings hanging in galleries around the world, and thousands hanging in vintage and pin-up lovers’ lounge rooms. Original paintings sell for thousands of dollars, and even the prints are worth a few hundred these days!

Which is your favourite painting of the lot?

Apart from the Vincent nude, I love what I have dubbed ‘the saddest horse ever’ print. It’s just so pretty and sad. It has also made its way into two music videos (one by Shrimpwitch and another by Baby Velvet). I also love vintage clown prints and paintings. In the last couple of years, I’ve become obsessed with clowns. I have too
