This is The One!

Based in Leeds, Alabama, Curtiss has begun production of the Curtiss One, its luxury electric motorcycle formally unveiled two years ago, which has essentially pointed EV motorcycle design in a new direction. Costing a hefty $120,000, the price includes one free battery upgrade, as well as full factory vehicle servicing during the first seven years of ownership, at a time of the customer’s choosing, to allow owners of the One to benefit from the resolutely breakneck pace of electric EVolution. Curtiss also offers an optional Future Proof Package delivering further battery upgrades at five-year intervals. This is a bike aimed at long-term ownership.

Production has begun of the chosen One, with initial deliveries made to the several members of its current V-twin owners’ roster who took up the offer of first dibs on acquiring one of the very different, but no

The Mechanicals
The mechanical actuators for the clutch and gear shift are quite smart. The clutch uses a spiral linear gear arrangement: an electric motor turns a gear with a spiral groove on one face. A linkage arm has a pin which engages in the spiral, and as the
