The cost of private health insurance, emergency department waiting room times and access to mental health care are key concerns for many locals.

A new survey from the Australian Patients Association and Healthengine found that as many as 45 per cent of respondents had concerns about the cost of private health insurance while another 40 and 39 per cent were worried about emergency waiting times and access to mental health
