Blue Chip Winter Showjumping Championships, Hartpury Arena, Glos

ANTHONY CONDON and the Hales's Shaw Farm Stud celebrated an impeccable result in the Blue Chip grand prix when half-brother and -sister SFS Mirage and SFS Vincomte topped the leaderboard just 0.5sec apart.

“I'd be surprised if a halfbrother and -sister taking first and second in a grand prix has happened before,” he said. “It's a great result for Shaw Farm Stud and their breeding programme.”

Seven combinations had made the second round, giving the Friday night gala crowd plenty of action to get behind, at a show already characterised by some ferociously competitive jump-offs.
