With summer fast approaching, there’s a piece of controversial professional advice I’d like for you to consider: stop marketing your business.
Let me explain.
I work a lot of hours. I have a full-time corporate job doing internet marketing for a Berkshire Hathaway company, plus I have two small businesses: a marketing data tech start-up and consulting through my advertising agency, Magnus Opus. Plus, everything Jim Linnell and I do at Elktracks Studio. And serving as the president of the advertising trade association in Fort Worth. Oh, and writing the occasional article. Also, I have a very active and ambitious 10-year-old, an energetic four-year-old and a wife with a very time-consuming career of her own.
I’m tired just writing about it. Some might say that we’re a little busy.
