Meet Joe & Pat Gartman

Tell us a little about yourselves – maybe starting with where you’re from?

Joe: My dad was in the Air Force, so for the first 12 years of my life, our home was various military bases – whenever the family could be with him – otherwise it was the ‘old home place’ in south Alabama, with Grandma Gartman. That’s where Dad was born. It was a large farm – cotton, corn, livestock, orchards, chickens, dogs, and a ‘kitchen garden’ with veggies for the table. Oh – and a great avenue of pecan trees, a wonderful place to play! After Dad retired from the military, we moved to Seattle.
