A quiet, bamboo-lined entrance way leads to the foyer of Garrya Nijo Castle, where a spectacular view awaits. When visited the hotel in November last year, we were mesmerised by the sight of autumn foliage reflected onto the glossy tops of the lobby’s lacquered tables.
