AS A FULL-TIME CARER TO TWO autistic teenagers, I often neglect my own wellbeing. In lockdown I was a size 22 and I had already been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in 2021. It had always been too difficult to get under control, and part of the reason I ate the wrong foods was to help manage anxiety and feelings of depression.
