Back on the road, end of the road…

This was how I’d planned it to go: the Lockdown Project Viper would be taken off the bench, given a quick dusting down, its finishing touches added and admired, it’d fire up and I’d be reporting on its glorious resurrection. Meanwhile, its sister 350cc Velocette, that it shares shed space with, was also going to make a sparkling return too, now with a new petrol tank fitted. All would be well with the world and I’d have two Velos ready for summer and nice photographs. What couldn’t go smoothly? Let me begin…
