I recently ordered and re-read Five Go Off in a Caravan in connection with a project I’m working on. It was a 2017 paperback edition with illustrations by Laura Ellen Anderson. Her children are round-eyed, shaggy haired and stick thin – the famous five for 21st century reader – and she’s clearly very good at her job.
