ew research has confirmed that eating less meat significantly decreases our risk of cancer. A study of 40–70 year olds, led by the University of Oxford, found that cancer risk was two per cent lower in those who ate meat five times or less per week, 10 per cent lower among those who ate fish but not meat, and 14 per cent lower among vegetarians and vegans, compared to those who ate meat more than five times per week.
