ince the year 2010, the United States Mint has been pounding out the biggest coins of our nation’s history. The America the Beautiful Quarter series (the ATBs) came along with big, 5-ounce silver pieces, which just about everyone calls quarters, even though no one spends any of them as 25-cent pieces. The first year of issue had a great deal of fanfare that went along with it. After all, nobody had ever seen a United States coin this big. This was neat! This was fun!
