My story

The location of the house was very important for us, as we wanted to be near family and work. This was actually the first place we viewed. The old-fashioned décor and style of the house felt too grown-up for us, but the location, on a corner plot which is very private at the back, was a strong selling point.

After viewing another six or seven houses, we realised that none of them compared to this one in terms of size, location, potential and price. The purchase went through quickly, as the family who owned it before us had already bought and secured their next home, so they wanted a quick sale.

The kitchen was the very first job we tackled. We actually had the kitchen fitter in to measure up the whole space and
