Well established since 1964 and producing RVs on an industrial scale from 1974, Laika was a privately owned business until the Erwin Hymer Group purchased the company around 2000. A move to a new manufacturing plant at San Casciano in Val di Pesa followed sometime later. The first of the Ecovip models was produced in 1992 and has become the icon model for the brand. The company prides itself on a long tradition of innovation, research, design and a reflection of their passion for motorhomes.
