In the midst of a real licensing fiasco

The results of the gun licence inquiry are interesting, hence Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police firearms units going their separate ways. I have written to the police commissioner for Devon about my own shotgun licence without reply. I applied for a new licence some 12 weeks before the licence time last June for September 2022.

After a few weeks I received a temporary licence with three months’ validity. At the end of the period they did not contact me, so I chased them as I had but three days left. They were most put out and I pointed out
