‘Torching of trucks will continue’

Drivers forum sounds warning

The All Truck Drivers Forum (ATDF) has warned that the conflict, chaos and torching of trucks will continue for as long as the government “chooses” to protect owners who are breaking labour laws by prioritising foreign drivers.

It said although it condemned the violence, the deployment of the army was a waste of taxpayers’ money when those at the helm were aware of the issues that were igniting the anger.

At least 21 trucks have been torched in KwaZulu-Natal,
