JOHN’S NEW ENGINE

he Devon County Show in May saw John Dullam of South Molton’s 1924 Marshall on display, writes . The engine was converted from a roller in 1968 by David Philpott of Luton and advertised in recently. John took delivery of the engine in February and retubed and hydraulically tested the engine before it made its first appearance at the Devon County Show, held at Exeter over 18-20 May. John has no previous engine experience, having owned vintage tractors, and is on a steep learning curve. He is very grateful for the friendship and assistance he is receiving from other local engine owners and is getting on with the engine well now.
