Ghana's capital city has always been a destination to visit for those seeking a piece of colourful Africa. The city prides itself as the home of pan-Africanism. “Ghana, your beloved country, is free forever,” declared Kwame Nkrumah, the architect of the country's independence movement, in March 1957 when he spoke to a huge crowd at Accra's old polo grounds.
