Ratting out the problem

AIRGUNNING

Q A friend has asked if I can use my air rifle to deal with rats that are causing problems around the compost heap in his garden. Would this be legal and, if so, how can I do it safely?

A It is legal to use an air rifle in a garden as long as pellets are not permitted to stray beyond the boundary.
