MATERIALS

•45 x 105cm (18 x 41in) Permin 18-count linen in Natural
•50cm (⅝syd) solid beige cotton fabric (backing)
•DMC Etoile embroidery thread in Garnet (816) and Ecru
•Size 22 tapestry needle

•Appleton's Crewel Wool in Olive Green (242), Grass Green (251), Jacobean Green (293) (2 skeins) and Grey Green (356) (2 skeins)
•DMC Perle 5 thread in Ultra Very Dark Rose (309), Dark Red (498), Very Light Old Gold (677) and Very Dark Brown Grey (3021)
•Five natural wooden buttons with a diameter of 20mm (¾in)
•Embroidery hoop (optional) Cushion insert, 36cm (14in) square •General sewing supplies

Finished size: 40cm (16in) square (including fringe)

Stitches used: Algerian eyelet stitch, backstitch, cross stitch, Smyrna cross, straight stitch
