SCHOOL’S IN FOR SUMMER

I’m sure many of us can recall a time when the promise – or the threat, if you prefer – of ‘summer school’ sent a shiver down your spine, that thought of having to take on extracurricular activity a source of icy dread. However, as we’ve all grown and grown into writers of all stripes, the appeal of learning more about our craft becomes ever more appealing – and with summer well and truly upon us, we’re going to take a moment to look at some of the writing schools, courses and workshops doing great work in genre fiction into the latter part of this year and indeed beyond.

Before we dive in, the below are suggestions and as always it’s important for you to research further and think about what is going to be the best thing for you. What sort of medium do you want to explore, what is your genre, do you want something face-to-face or online, what do you want a writing
