I’ve always wanted to ride a 24-hour time trial. I’ve always said so, and in much the same spirit as I’ve always said I want to play Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto, learn Spanish and become a better person. It’s a nebulous ambition people are supposed to admire briefly, then let go of.
