Kim Beazley, Minister for Aviation, wrote to the president of the newly formed Australian Ultralight Federation (AUF), informing that his department "will recognise the AUF as the body representing the interests of those enthusiasts wishing to operate under the provisions of Air Navigation Order 95.10 and the proposed new Air Navigation Order 95.22.”
