I live in one of those very nice final departure lounges—a home for the ancient and bewildered. An old people’s home. You get the picture?

Anyway, at supper last night I was chatting with a new inmate. Old guy, somewhere in his 80s, like a lot of us here. He finished dessert, excused himself, said, “See ya later. Guess I'll go hop in the shower.”
