KEEP SMILING

Pulling a summer vest over my shoulders in 2015, I paused.

Glancing at my back, there was a lump pushing through the skin.

It’s grown, I thought.

About 18 months prior, my dad Colin, 56, had spotted a pea-sized lump in my left shoulder when he was giving me a shoulder rub.

And now it had grown to almost 4cm.

My mum Jane, 54, and Dad did a bit of Googling and agreed it may be a fatty lump.
