f I were pressed to list the seasons in order of preference, I think spring would always be my favourite, but autumn is a very close second. That’s the other reason I think autumn gives spring a run for its money: it’s the season of improvements, of planting, dividing and moving, when you lay all the foundations for an even better show the following year.
