The word ‘regenerative’ seems to be everywhere nowadays. We have regenerative agriculture, design and even fashion. The bandwagon is well and truly on the move. But is regenerative just the new sustainable – a term savvy marketing companies adopt to sound good? It could quickly head that way, as there is no specific legilsation for becoming a regenerative gardener (or farmer or retailer). To avoid the term being used to mislead people, we must have an open dialogue about what regenerative means and how to achieve it, and we need to get involved – regenerative gardening is an easy, accessible and worthwhile place to start.
