KZN ANC pleads for state funeral

more than a prince

THE ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to afford the late prime minister of the Zulu nation, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, a state funeral.

Buthelezi died yesterday at his home in KwaPhindangene, outside Ulundi.

“We as the ANC are calling for Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube to write to the president requesting that Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi be given a state funeral category one,” said the ANC’s provincial spokesperson Mafika Mndebele. “Without any doubt, he made a great contribution in KwaZulu-Natal and in the country,” said Mndebele.
