1 GO BIG WITH RUGS
Selecting a rug that's too small for the space can make a room look disjointed and more closed-in, so where possible go as large as you can. If you want to zone the sleeping area, have the bed sit on top of the rug with it spilling out underneath the bedside tables, too. Avoid placing the edges of the rug so they end in front of furniture as these lines will create visual clutter and prevent your scheme from flowing effortlessly around the room.
