A variety of Scarlatti sonatas have featured inside the pages of over the years, but: Dynamic markings on the score are limited, and that’s how Scarlatti would have wanted it; there are so many ways that the pianist can colour the notes. The most important thing is to follow the natural phrasing and try to iron out any bumps. Aim to use a good finger legato (but observe the rests); the suggested fingerings should help.: Always trust your ears and use the pedal when finger legato alone cannot do the job.
