For this test, we nabbed an MG 4 fitted with the medium 64kWh (gross, 61.7kWh usable) ternary lithium-ion battery pack for 435km of WLTP range in Essence trim – the highest spec until the XPower hot hatch arrives.
It costs $47,990 before on-road costs and government incentives, so splits the difference between price leader and more premium rivals such as the Tesla Model 3 sedan.
