Since Channel 4’s Dispatches investigation into Russell Brand was screened, debate has focused on the serious allegations that he faces. At the centre of the media storm are the four women who came forward, some anonymously via actors, to share their alleged experiences with Brand between 2006 and 2013.
One claimed how the controversial comedian forced himself on her when she was 16: ‘I was crying and he said, “Oh, I only wanted to see your mascara run anyway.’” And a resurfaced clip of Brand on stage shows him making a quip about causing a female’s mascara to run during oral sex. Brand denies the allegations.
