GET GROWING

What if I told you that the vegetables you ate for your dinner last night were a year old? That the apple you ate after lunch was stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled warehouse before being delivered to the supermarket or your favourite restaurant 11 months after it was picked? It's true, and I often consider how long my food has been stored, where it has come from and the distance it has travelled to get to my plate whenever I go to a supermarket or restaurant. It's one of the reasons why I started growing my own food.
