The Power Couple

ALISON MCCORMACK TOOK THE reins of Bicycle Network just over 12 months ago, following a gruelling selection process that drew more than 80 applicants and lasted many months.

She is the organisation’s first female CEO and fills the role held by Craig Richards for more than 10 years.

Arguably Australia’s largest member based cycling organisation, Bicycle Network is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting cycling as a healthy, sustainable mode of transportation. Its purpose is to make bike riding easier for everyone and the organisation undertakes initiatives ranging from advocacy and public policy input, to organising large-scale cycling events and educational programs.

By collaborating with government agencies, community organisations, and volunteers, Bicycle Network strives to improve cycling infrastructure, enhance rider safety, and foster a more bike-friendly culture. I have been a member for more than
