“American Beauty” Revived

FROM 1998 TO 2010, John Voll’s P-51 “American Beauty” markings flew again on Cavalier TF-51 67-22581. This Mustang a (FAB) under the “Peace Condor” program. These Mustangs were allocated new temporary USAF 67- and 68-serial numbers although they never served with the USAF. P-51 67-22581 flew with the Bolivian Air Force as FAB 523 until 1978. It was then sold to a private owner in Canada, who kept it in Bolivian Air Force camouflage markings with shark’s teeth and the name “What’s up Doc?”
