Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

With heavy synth, oodles of violence, and a president crash-landing in a dangerous, self-governed district of Night City, this chunky DLC definitely gives John Carpenter a run for his money at first glance. It’s an escapade keen to play with it all, along with spy thriller set-pieces and even an extended brush with full-on horror.

Launching a week after the massive 2.0 overhaul of the base game, Phantom Liberty oozes both ambition and the confidence that it’s able to pull it off. Though it’s not without faults, we can’t hate its attitude.
