The old Lambretta club members could be a fickle lot at times, and anyone new on the scene would be subject to huge scrutiny before being accepted. Not that there was anything wrong in that, but if anyone thought they could just waltz in and tell the established members how it was done, then they were sorely mistaken. There was a long apprenticeship to be undertaken, and it all rested on how dedicated someone was to the cause, what Lambretta they owned and where they came from.
