THE PARABLES OF JESUS

Have you ever felt lost? Have there been times in your life when you sensed you were far from God, or that He was far from you? Luke brings together three of Jesus’ parables all dealing with something lost: a lost sheep, lost coin, and lost son. However, these parables are not only linked because of their common theme, but because they highlight the same perspective: God’s love for the lost. Whereas previous parables in our series have concentrated on our behaviour or decision-making, the emphasis with these three is on God’s reaction; they are more heavenly than earthly focused.
