Nadia’s Christmas joy Sharing the love with friends & family

Every Christmas Eve, once her excited boys are tucked up in bed, Kiwi food star Nadia Lim sits down to write her sons a special letter from Santa. While disguising her handwriting might be getting harder as her sons grow up, the message is always the same – thanking them for taking care of each other throughout the year and encouraging them to keep being kind.

And now Nadia and husband Carlos Bagrie will pass on this special family tradition to little Arlo, the couple’s gorgeous third child, who was born at home on the family farm in February. He might be too young to understand his note from Santa, but Nadia says there’s no doubt his doting big brothers Bodhi, seven, and River, five, will ensure he’s part of the festive action.

“A baby’s first Christmas feels really special,” smiles Nadia, speaking to The Weekly from Royalburn Station, the breathtaking Central Otago property she and Carlos took over almost five years ago. “We’ll hang up a stocking for him next to Bodhi and River’s, and I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to help their little brother with his presents!”

While the family has hosted the past few Christmases on their slice of rural paradise, this year, they’re packing up and heading north to spend the holidays with Carlos’ family at Hanmer Springs, where his parents Virginia and John live.
