My daughter is seven years old, and while I’m really hoping she’ll get serious about guitar, I also want to give her the chance to try out lots of different things and see what she really connects with. So I bought her an electric drum set for her birthday.
She enjoyed hitting it and making a huge amount of noise but lost interest when I explained there were patterns to it and that she needed to actually ‘practise’. So after a few weeks of it gathering dust in her room, it found its way into my studio,
