A little history

TWELVE CLASS 37s from the Railfreight sector were allocated to European Passenger Services (EPS), and fitted for use on long distance trains working to the Channel Tunnel, along with use in a service role for the operator.

Nine locomotives were drawn from the Class 37/5 fleet which were split headcode box locomotives originally refurbished for Railfreight. The boxes and communication doors were removed during refurbishment to be replaced by two marker lights which were retained along with the door cover plate. After conversion
