MATERIALS
• Medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn:
3 oz variegated brown
3 oz ecru
• Size G/6/4mm crochet hook o size needed to obtain gauge
• Size H/8/5mm double-ended crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Desired size of button
• Sewing needle and thread
• Removable stitch markers

GAUGE
With H double-ended hook in pattern: 7 sc lps = 2 inches; 9 rows = 3½ inches
With G hook: 4 sts = 1 inch; 2 dc rows = 1 inch
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Fasten off colors when no longer needed.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
To draw up a lp, insert hook in designated lp, bar or ch, yo, draw lp through (see illustration A), leaving lp on hook.

When picking up lps, leave all lps on hook (see illustration B) unless otherwise stated.
