G reeting children and parents at the airport, I quickly got into work mode.
‘Welcome to Lapland!’ I cried, waving my arms, my pointy elf hat bobbing around behind me.
It was November 2015 and after finishing a stint as an entertainer on a cruise ship, I was working as a Santa's elf in Lapland, Finland.
Christmas was my favourite time of year, so I was chuffed to land the job.
Every day was magic.
